Is the outer 1/3 of your eyebrow missing?

This is often a sign of underactive thryoid

Thyroid health is assessed by doing a comprehensive set of blood and hormone testing.  Your thyroid works together with your adrenal glands, gut function, hormones and vitamins such as Vitamin D plus nutrients such as iodine.  When something is amiss in any of these areas it will also affect your thyroid function.

Naturopathic assessment of your thyroid health encompasses all these areas and does not just reply solely on your TSH levels (Thyroid stimulating hormone.  This is a chemical message from the pituitary gland in the brain to the thyroid.  It may appear normal, but does not give the whole picture of your thyroid health.  Hence you may have been given the all clear by your GP but you may still feel sluggish, tired and depressed (common symptoms of underactive thyroid))

Overactive thyroid can present the opposite symptoms.  Symptoms of an overactive thyroid may present as palpitations, restlessness, diarrhoea, heat intolerance, weight loss and hair loss (which can also occur in underactive thyroid)
